Reference Model Collaborative Supply Chain Management - possibility to validate

In the following, two models have been developed, using the eEPK modeling language. One model demonstrates a Supply Chain Event Management process. The other process shows a combination of the concepts of Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment and Vendor Managed Inventory.

For a better understanding of the modelled processes, three extensions of the eEPK modeling language have been made:

1) Introduction of the swimlane-concept with pools and lanes. Pools represent a single enterprise or organisation. Lanes represent a department of a company. Model elements, which are modelled on both pools represent a responsibility for both pool owners.

2)Introduction of a new model element representing an interface. The interface shows the crossing of borders of the control flow between different pools. It has the same attributes as a function and can be refined.

3)Introduction of an information flow. The information flow shows the flow of information and data exchange between different pools. It represents an alternative to the before described interface. With the information flow the standard, which is used in the exchange between companies or organisation can be described.
