Model Master Data
Overview:

Conceptual model of an application for managing bibliographies

Purpose:

The model served as a basis for the development of an application for managing bibliogaphies. This application supports the creation of biblioographies, searching for specific titles, managing references for research projects and the generation of publication lists.

Context/domain:
Bibliography
Stakeholders and prospective users:

Researchers writing academic publications

Assumptions:
We preferred modelling concrete bibliographic types using UML. Roles different Persons can play (author, editor) as well as organisations' roles (publisher) are modelled explicitely as roles.
Constraints/Limitations:

There are redundancies because we did not use multiple inheritance (Smalltalk only offers single inheritance ): Authors and editors have been defined in tweo respective classes.

Transformation:
the models have been used to generate Smalltalk code
